This booklet has been prepared to help you understand more about exercise, and to provide information about the benefits of exercise during and after cancer treatment.

We have included tips on preparing for exercise, plus some examples of exercises that you can do at home. We cannot give advice about the best exercise program for you. You will need to discuss this with your doctors and qualified exercise professionals, such as an accredited exercise physiologist or physiotherapist. However, we hope this information helps you think about questions to ask your treatment team or exercise professional.

This booklet does not need to be read from cover to cover - just read the parts that are useful to you. Some terms that may be unfamiliar are explained in the glossary. You may also like to pass this booklet to your family and friends for their information.
